First of all I want to thank all the people who argued over the high points in the storyline. Saves me the trouble of ever having to watch it. LMAO

From a science side it was lacking in many ways. At least from what seems to be argued around some of the higher brain forums To make a movie you have to make stuff up sometimes just to be interesting.

That being said, it seems that the code used for the the modeling meets astrophysical computer modeling standards thanks to Kip Thorne. It’s no doubt he is a brilliant mathematician. Which means they can feed his super code into a super computer, and get super modeling.

Unfortunately this only works up to the speed of light in all theories. In the area of a SM black hole not just space, but time also is warped. It’s very possible and probable that all kinds of temporal paradoxes are occurring simultaneously that could never be fully quantified by anyone. Considering the astonishing gravity involved, it’s entirely possible that there are particles or energies being accelerated to faster than light speeds. We have no current way to perceive such things beyond inexplicable mathematical infinities.

If you accept the modern day super symmetry math that’s tied to damn near everything these days from quantum physics to string theories, etc. You must accept that we currently only know of 4 dimensions out of at least 11, possibly more (many more). So basically it is what is. Kip did a great job like you would expect given what mankind currently knows. Physics likely will get a lot more study in the area of black hole (as well as pulsar, neutron star, magnetar, and quasar) theory. Many believe the world of hyperspace phyisics is out there, but not yet discovered.

In the mean time, we still won’t make wormholes. SM black holes will still crush you long before you got to any wormhole assuming the Hawking radiation didn’t incinerate you first, or you were possibly lost in an area of "anti-time/time" collision. and "Intersteller" is just a movie. It will likely end up as a classic just like Star Trek and all the other Sci-Fi series and movies et al. The public loves a good space based movie or series because it gives them a temporary pass on the crushing gravity of their own reality for a brief time.

It is what it is. Warping space is time travel. Time travel is warping space. Something we’re not ready to ponder yet IMHO. We’re still too aggressive as a species. Time travel requires us to go faster and farther than ourselves.
