Could Evidence of Original Life be on the Moon?

Researchers are now proposing that evidence of the origins of life may very well be hidden on the Moon, where the earliest organic traces in existence may have been preserved in lava during the satellite's fiery adolescence.

to state "evidence" doesn't mean proof. What they did find IS evidence that life exists on Titan...but fingerprints on a gun in a murder case is evidence, as well. But it doesn't mean that the person those fingerprints belong to proves or has to necessarily imply he/she is the killer. It's just one puzzle piece that appears to fit into the puzzle of the question of whether life exists on Titan.

Experts know that the simplest forms of life appeared on Earth some 3.8 billion years ago, but they still have no idea how. One leading theory is that it was actually brought to our newborn planet via asteroids, comets, or other large space debris - the same debris that struck our still-forming Moon.

But the more scientists learn about this oxygen-producing process, the better they'll be able to focus the search for alien life elsewhere.
