Stephen Hawking, Elon Musk, and dozens of other leading scientists and technology leaders signed a letter warning about the potential dangers of artificial intelligence (AI).
Letter touting the benefits of AI, but also warns of the potential risks.
The letter refers to a document containing a list of research priorities for AI, including the assessment of the impact of AI on employment, to ensure ethical conduct of autonomous vehicles and weapons, as well as maintaining proper control of AI.

If you don't want AI to take over and become evil dictators, or worse, kill us all for our resources, then do not give them human emotions except for love and happiness, and make their goal/reward to see humans happy. Problem (somewhat) solved.

I really expect AI to wipe over mankind someday. Or at least, nothing like programming a cleverbot-based troll for making double accs on MAL and pretending not even the mods notice it and don't care enough.

Why is the real point of all this not being mentioned by the scientists or anyone else for that matter? A true AI would quickly figure out how immoral (by our very own standards) humans in general are and quickly come to the logical conclusion that we must be controlled for our own good.
